5. DON'T confuse Tower Bridge with London Bridge
So you're tempted to stroll along the Embankment by the Thames singing "London Bridge is falling down" to youself, but dude—the original London Bridge is long gone. In fact, it's in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, because they bought it from London in the 1970s and installed it in their town, and that's still not even the clogged-with-buildings historical version of the Bridge mentioned in the song. Rest assured, there is still a London Bridge over the Thames, but it's nothing special and hard to distinguish from any other bridge. Just don't point at the bridge in the picture above and claim that this one is London Bridge, because it's just not. That's Tower Bridge, and it always has been.

4. DON'T drive, walk or stand on the wrong side of the street and sidewalk
The cars might drive on the left side of the street in Britain and every pedestrian crosswalk may be painted with a "LOOK LEFT" or "LOOK RIGHT" to remind you of this fact, but the directions don't apply to everything. Take, for instance, walking on a sidewalk. The pedestrian traffic flow is on the right, and you should also be aware of escalator etiquette: it's stand on the right and walk on the left there.

3. DON'T shop on Oxford or Regent Streets
The only good thing that Regent Street has going for it is the large Apple store with its free WiFi signal that leaks out. Otherwise, these streets are a crush of confused tourists shopping at H&M or other chain stores they could usually find at home. If you are however desperate to do some shopping like this, you can find the same shops in nicer environs and less congestion on Kensington High Street or Kings Road. Slightly related tip: don't wear "Mind the Gap" or Union Jack shirts fresh from purchasing them as souvenirs; you become a target for pickpockets and thieves, because you are obviously a confused tourist.

2. DON'T go to Buckingham Palace hoping to see the Queen, or even thinking that she's there
Just because the Union Jack flag is flying high above the Palace doesn't mean that they whole royal family is sitting in there, having tea or something and gazing out at you. The Queen herself is only in if you see more guards wearing their red jackets and huge hats than usual and the royal standard is raised on the flagpole too, and it looks like this. When we were there last week, she was not in, and yet hoards of tourists were clinging to the gate and staring up at the window expectantly, and for a while too!

1. DON'T pay to go to a museum
The majority of London's museum are completely free, and sort of de facto hangout places for locals even. If your plans include any of these big museums: Tate Modern, British Museum, the National Gallery, Tate Gallery, Victoria & Albert Museum, National Portrait Gallery, National Maritime Museum, and the Imperial War Museum (and many more!), then you can just walk in and have a great time without laying down a single sterling. These should exhaust you pretty well, so that you hopefully aren't even tempted to pay the exorbitant 16.50 GBP ($26) per person entrance fee to the Tower of London or the 7 GBP to go upstairs in Tower Bridge. Just say no.

You have your drink and there are plenty of people to talk to who isn't the bartender. Hint-the bartender is paid to be there and make drinks. You are preventing them from doing there job because your being so anti-social that you are huddling around the bar and watching whatever lame basketball game that's on in the background pretending to be interested.
Meanwhile, I have to wave my arm above my 5'1 frame with a 10 in my hand hoping the bartender sees me over your head. And worst of all the people sitting at the bar when there is a band playing. WTF is wrong with you people?!? The seats are for when you sweated your ass off dancing and need to breathe again.
I have decided, if I ever have a bar ( and who knows it could happen) There will either be no chairs around the bar after 10 or the bartenders are going to be slightly elevated. Get away from the bar, talk to somebody, dance, whatever. If you do, the bar world will be a happier place.

Moral of the Story: Drink, Dance, or get the fuck up!

Now that the hype for the upcoming Watchmen movie is in full swing, I thought it was high time we celebrate some of the other intelligently written comic books that are worth reading. Get your hands on these and the wait for the Watchmen will fly by faster than a speeding bullet.

Kingdom Come

What happens when in the future two factions of superheroes disapprove of the level of violence used to apprehend criminals? They repeatedly beat on each other until one capitulates, and in the case of Mark Waids' Kingdom Come, they beat on each other in remarkable detail courtesy of Alex Ross's striking artwork. While Kingdom Come provides a serviceable and interesting enough storyline, it's really the illustrations that make this title a classic. The watercolored art is truly amazing, and when watching an aged Batman scrap with a gray-haired Superman you want all the geriatric blows to be as clear as possible. Alex Ross also illustrated the noteworthy Marvels two years prior, which lost the toss up with Kingdom Come to make this list.

The Cerebus Series

Cerebus is the name of a bi-pedal aardvark who took part in one of the longest-running single-team comic book series ever. In its exorbitant run, it featured 16 massive volumes which depicted various aardvark folly and shenanigans throughout a fictitious and satirical world. The series started off as a fantasy parody, but as subsequent volumes were released it became tougher and tougher to categorize, running the gamut from drama to political satire. However, even with its perpetual genre shifts, the misogynistic nature and humor of the sentient mammal remained, and the foibles of this particular aardvark ultimately became revered and respected.

Maus

Maus is an extremely well-known and well-regarded graphic novel which tells the story of the Holocaust through the eyes of anthropomorphic animals. The narrative is largely delivered by a mouse-like depiction of the author's father as he recounts his time spent in a concentration camp during World War II. When the book isn't satirically recounting life back in the 1940s, it details the author's modern-day problems and concerns with his rodent father who now appears more jaded and cynical than he did prior to the war. The title has received multiple awards and is commonly referred to as one of the best and most important graphic novels of all time.

The Hellblazer Series

Don't let the connection to the ridiculously awful Kenau movie 'Constantine' fool you: Hellblazer is one of the best comic series around. Dark and twisted with just the right touch of humor, Hellblazer chronicles the trials and tribulations of John Constantine, a world-weary magician and all-around bastard who gets into all sorts of nasty business, usually involving demons and monsters and other things that go bump in the night. But what separates Hellblazer from the rest of the pack is the strong writing and deep character development that's become a hallmark of the series. It's been helmed by a veritable who's who of comic book writers including Alan Moore, who helped create the character in the pages of 'The Saga of the Swamp Thing,' Jamie Delano, Neil Gaiman, Warren Ellis, Garth Ennis and Mike Carey. Thanks to their work, John Constantine remains one of the most complex and interesting characters in all of comics and makes Hellblazer a must read for any comic book fan.

The Preacher Series

This 75-issue series collected in nine paperback graphic novels followed the accounts of an unconventional preacher in Texas and the atypical menagerie he rubs shoulders and fraternizes with. The themes of the book are often and obviously religious (or sacrilegious depending on your view) in nature and they frequently question and distort many familiar spiritual subjects and themes. And it is these unorthodox approaches to theological topics that both draw and appeal to its reader base as well as stir up controversy and outcry. The series was long rumored to have a motion picture deal in development, but since that has apparently fallen through, a television series for HBO has begun production.

Eightball

As an author famous for his often humorous and frequently grotesque comics, Daniel Clowes has created a number of memorable characters and odd stories. Probably his best and most well known are Ghost World, David Boring, and Like a Velvet Glove Cast in Iron. Most, if not all of his works (the three previously-mentioned titles included) have originally appeared in his serialized alternative comic book Eightball, which is one of the most successful independently authored comics to date. One early example of Eightball included a story entitled The Sensual Santa, which followed the exploits of one blonde-bearded man who would drop down random people's chimneys and administer various forms of affection, all while detailing the importance of connection and sharing. At the end of the story, Mr. Clowes apologizes to the reader.

The Sandman Series

Spanning across 75 issues (augmented with several companion stories and collections), Neil Gaiman's Sandman is without a doubt one of the finest works of fiction ever produced-not just in comics but in all of literature. It chronicles the life of Dream, a personification of dreams, and his siblings-Death, Destiny, Destruction, Desire, Despair and Delight-who are known collectively as the Endless. Drawing inspiration from a variety of sources including mythology, Shakespeare and modern comic lore, Sandman is a complex and multi-layered story that, along with seminal titles like The Dark Knight Returns and The Watchmen, helped re-establish comic books as a legitimate storytelling medium. The only comic book to win a World Fantasy Award and be listed on the New York Times Best Sellers' List, Sandman is a must-read not just for diehard comic book fans but for anyone who loves a well told story.

Dark Knight Returns

You could arguably say that Batman is the biggest and most renowned character ever created in a comic book, and you could also make the point that he's had some of the best individual stories written about him in the past 20 years. And of those tales, The Dark Knight Returns is the one most frequently referred to as definitive and important. Prior to this comic, the caped crusader had been seen in a softer more wholesome light and as a result his sales were lagging. However, Frank Miller decided that Batman should bear a stronger resemblance to what Bob Kane had originally envisioned for the character, and as a result the more adult Dark Knight was created. Ultimately this set the tone for other highly regarded future Batman stories, of particular note: The Killing Joke, The Long Halloween, and Batman: Year One.

Contract With God Trilogy

Of all the comic book writers and artists, none are more responsible or deserve more merit for creating the modern graphic novel than Will Eisner. His Contract With God Trilogy which included, A Contract With God, Life Force, and Dropsie Avenue, have not only been regarded as the first, but also as some of the finest, graphic novels to ever be created. In the early 1940s, Eisner also made a superhero comic called The Spirit which garnished significant praise and was as well-received then as it is today, further evidenced by it's upcoming film treatment at the hands of prominent comic author Frank Miller. Having passed away in 2005, Eisner's work and legacy is still very prominent in the comic industry, and The Will Eisner Comic Industry Award, given out annually, is seen as the highest recognition and achievement for comic writers and illustrators.

The king

Kings direct their energy towards the outer world of action and word. They are organizers using logical principles with a tendency to control life. Kings are excellent with the business arts. They are generally assertive, outspoken, confident, outgoing, energetic, full of charisma, and hardly stopped by conflict or criticism. They can appear argumentative, insensitive, intimidating or outright controlling. They can simply be overwhelming because of their willingness and capability to shape the world around them. But remember, every time the King shakes your hand, or offers a gift – there is great emotion invested in that one act. They downplay their gifts to others and they downplay their emotions to guard them. The King is second in rarity to the Queen.

The Dark Knight Review

My Review:

Dark Knight is the sequel of Batman Begins from Christopher Nolan; who has some respectable films under his belt such as Memento and Insomnia. This one follows the same type of vibe of Begins, a much darker and more relevant Batman that coexist with a post 9/11 world. Christian Bale returns to put another excellent portrayal of Batman and he is equally match (and in some scenes surpass) Heath Ledger, who portrays the Joker. Ledger's Joker is a combination of the Clockwork Orange gang and a evil master mind, it definably showed how talented he was and only makes one sad that we lost him on his prime. Katie Holmes was replaced by Maggie Gyllenhaal for Rachel, this was a much need change because Holmes was one of Begins weakest links along with its weird master/apprentice sub-plot that lent it to some of the most awkward/'gay' scenes in it.

Dark Knight's art direction, editing and production were a delight, some scenes felt like a dance of production, art direction and performance in perfect rhythm, almost tear jerking. Dark Knight stands on its own as a great movie. This movie made me forget it was a "comic book" movie. They got rid of all the filler that Batman Begins and left a lean sirloin of what hero movies should be from now (yum).

I found this great article today, 25 tips on how to stay married.

People younger than 30 know a lot about things I will never understand, but they don’t know much about marriage.

Take my young friend Steve. I met him a dozen years ago through my late husband, who was his high school chemistry teacher and basketball coach.

Of all the great kids we knew over the years, Steve was one of the finest — hardworking and solid — in class, on the court and in life. I’ll always be grateful for the eulogy he gave at my husband’s memorial service.

Steve got married recently, and for a wedding gift, I wanted to give him something he could actually use: Advice.

So, I sifted through years of experience, old columns and letters from readers to compile “25 Tips on How to Stay Married”:

1. Always put her first — before work, friends, even basketball. Act as if she’s the best thing that ever happened to you, because we all know she is.

2. Keep no secrets. Pool your money. Allow nothing and no one to come between you.

3. Pick your fights with care. Play fair. Show some class. Hurtful words can be forgiven, but they’re hard to forget.

4. Fall in love again every day. Kiss her in taxis. Flirt with her at parties. Tell her she’s beautiful. Then tell her again.

5. Never miss an anniversary or a birthday or a chance to make a memory. Memories may not seem important now, but one day they’ll be gold.

6. Never give her a practical gift. If she really wants a Shop-Vac, let her pick it out herself.

7. Go to church together, and pray every day for each other and your marriage.

8. Pay your bills on time and make sure you each have a living will, a durable power of attorney and life insurance, lest, God forbid, you need them.

9. Love her parents as your own, but don’t ask them for money. Never criticize her family or friends. On her birthday, send flowers to her mother with a note saying, “Thank you for giving birth to the love of my life.”

16. Never fall for the myth of perfectionism; it’s a lie.

17. When you don’t like each other, remember that you love each other; pray for the “good days” to return and they will.

18. Tell the truth, only the truth, with great kindness.

19. Kiss at least 10 seconds a day, all at once or spread out.

20. Memorize all her favorite things and amaze her with how very well you know her.

21. Examine your relationship as often as you change the oil in your car; keep steering it on a path you both want it to go.

22. Be content with what you have materially, honest about where you are emotionally, and never stop growing spiritually.

23. Never raise your voice unless you’re on fire. Whisper when you argue.

24. Be both friends and lovers; in a blackout, light a candle, then make your own sparks.

25. Finally, be an interesting person, lead your own life. But always save your best for each other. In the end, you will know you were better together than you ever could’ve been apart.

I think the most effective lines I can think of are a simple "Hi" and by living in one of the smallest states in the Union, Delaware, makes "You don't look like you are not from around here, where are you from?" 90% of time true and sends them into a heartfelt story on how they got here and you into the cool dude zone.

I read this article with 25 lines that will get you laid or slapped (or Both). I don't approve all of them but it was an interesting read. Who knows you might get to be as douchy as this guy; check it out after the Jump.

Where was the 3 page essay I was expecting to read? Where is the reggaeton section? Where is the sex chat room? Willy, these are all basic section that should be in any web page. We need to have a meting to discuss the right course of action for your situation. I'm offering my services for free, yes that's right for free. Blogging is all about talking crap, but crap that pisses people off. YOU SUCK, don't take it personal, it's just an example. Right now you are actually taking the time to read this crapy email simply because my crap makes you wanna fight back. You want to say, "F you [Anonymous] you suck". So this feeling is actually keeping you interested in reading how this crap is going to end.

Also, you need more bobbies in your page, that's right, TETAS all over the place. You can sell anything with a TETA next to it, think about it. I don't have much free time but I can actually log on from work or late at night before I go to bed and write a lot of crap, which you can read at work. That way we get to communicate without jeopardizing our jobs. Think about it, we could go back to those days when we used to talk and debate anything for hours and on top of that it will help us improve grammar and increase reading and typing time. Could your genes actually help lower the risk of getting cancer when drinking alcohol? A new study says that this may be possible. Researchers from Lyon, France, found that some people with certain variations in a gene involved in breaking down alcohol in the body appear to have a lower risk for developing certain alcohol-related cancers.Paul Brennan, head of the genetic epidemiology group at the International Agency for Research on Cancer, and his colleagues studied more than 3,800 people in Europe and Latin America who had cancers of the respiratory tract and upper digestive tract. What they found is that those who had a particular variation in the genes known as ADH1B and ADH7 metabolized alcohol much faster than those without the variation -- about 100 times faster, to be exact.(My happy face)

The results were released Sunday in the journal Nature Genetics.

How to get over you ex

No matter how you try, you can't get back to that little spot of sunlight where you were so comfortable and safe.

There's only one thing left for you to do: Forget her. I know it's not as easy as it sounds, but with this blueprint, you'll forget that girl and pick up the pieces of your shattered heart -- and manhood -- in no time.

1- Take her off that pedestal

Don't idolize her and build her up into something great. She is nothing of the sort. So don't gaze lovingly at pictures of her. Don't jump to answer her e-mail or phone calls. And definitely don't go out of your way for her. She no longer deserves preferential treatment.

2- Get closure

It's essential to definitively end any hopes of reconciliation between the two of you. And if you can't get that into your head, she owes you the courtesy of it crystal clear. She needs to tell you: "I never loved you. I don't love you now. We'll never get back together." After some prodding, she'll probably do it, just to get rid of you. It provides what therapists call "closure." And you can begin to heal.

3- Don't contact her

After the relationship reaches finality, you have to break off contact or you will go mad. Don't beg or cry. Don't drunk-dial. Don't write her e-mail. Don't send packages or CDs. Don't dedicate a song to her on the radio. Get the picture? She will find you if she wants to. And even if you can talk your way back into her arms, it's only a temporary reprieve. She already knows you want her back, and she doesn't care. Take that as a sign.

4- Get negative feelings out on paper

Write her a letter pouring out your negative and weepy feelings, then disassociate them from yourself. Throw the letter away or burn it. But definitely don't send it to her. You will only regret it. She will show her friends and her new boyfriend. And they will all share a good laugh.

5- Avoid her friends & the places she hangs

Don't venture into her territory. You won't be welcome. Find new places to hang out for the first few months and make new friends, if necessary. If any of your friends insist on maintaining contact with her, you may have to shut them out, too -- at least temporarily. After some time has passed, you should go back to living normally, and that means hanging out at these places and reconnecting with mutual friends.

6- Throw away anything that reminds you of her

You don't have to burn it all, but definitely get pictures, gifts, clothing, letters, and e-mail out of your living area, or at least out of your line of vision. If that means giving away roughly half of your wardrobe to get rid of the memory of her, so be it. As a rule of thumb, if the object reminds you of your ex, discard it. This can save your sanity.

7- Don't try to get your stuff back

Unless it's a diamond ring or something that's one-of-a-kind, you're better off not contacting her to get it back. DVDs, clothes, your extra toothbrush... just let 'em go. They're only possessions. Is it really worth the pain of being in her presence just to reclaim a pair of boxer shorts? Don't exchange your dignity for menial belongings.

8- Hang out with your friends

Let your buddies give you a reality check on how your ex wasn't all that to begin with, and that there are more fish in the sea. A little male camaraderie can go a long way towards getting your head straight. We've all been detonated by a woman before and most of us will likely get detonated again.

9- Exercise your newfound freedom

Freedom is always intoxicating. There's a world of activities you can partake in that you were never able to enjoy because your "other half" didn't approve. So indulge. Travel. Build a model ship. Go hiking. Play video games on your computer. Watch TV all weekend. Do anything you want. Why not start boxing? Ideally, you want to find an activity that allows you to release your anger and alleviate stress.

10- Remember the bad times

If you feel nostalgic, then think of all the times she was a bitch to you. That should do it. Remember the time she made you wait by the dressing room as she endlessly tried on clothing? Or the time she reminded you not too drink too much in front of your posse? Nobody wants that back.

11- Sleep with another girl

Nothing reminds you that you are a man quite like having a new woman in your bed. So take solace in the arms of another. Call it a rebound if you wish. Plenty of heartbroken guys go this route and for a very good reason -- it makes you feel better, even if it's only temporary. So go out there and feel better about yourself!

Bonus: Seduce somebody she's jealous of

Remember the hair stylist or the hot barmaid your ex scolded you for looking at? Well, now's your chance to make a move that will pay off in more ways than just sex. Just think, if your ex finds out you've been fishing in familiar waters, it will drive her to the point of hysteria. This can be quite gratifying.

Getting the woman of your past out of your present is a mental and emotional challenge of the first order. However the tried and true guidelines above should have your heart mended in no time.
